About theOFL.app
Local lives here.
There's always something happening on the Isle of Man. The trouble is, knowing about it isn't always easy.
A last-minute appointment, a table available tonight, a local offer, a weekend market or something different to do with the family. Useful things can be surprisingly easy to miss.
That's why we built theOFL.app.
One place to discover what's available, what's happening and who's doing what across the island.
No endless scrolling through groups or hoping the right post finds you. Just a straightforward way to find more of what's local.
A little about who's behind it
I'm Ben. I live and run a business here on the Isle of Man.
Running a local business has taught me that getting noticed isn't always easy, even when you've got something genuinely worth offering.
At the same time, people are constantly looking for services, availability and things to do, often without knowing what's right on their doorstep.
I wanted to create something that makes that connection easier. That's where theOFL.app began.
Built around local businesses. Made for everyone.
OFL gives businesses a simple, affordable way to put themselves in front of local people, whether that's promoting an available appointment, advertising an offer or sharing an upcoming event.
For everyone else, it's a place to discover businesses, find availability and see what's happening nearby.
Businesses keep control of their own bookings, enquiries and customers. OFL simply helps people find them.
Keeping things trustworthy
We believe being visible and being trustworthy are two different things.
- Businesses are reviewed before appearing on OFL.
- Paid advertising and subscriptions never influence verification.
- Businesses can pay to be seen. They can never pay to be trusted.
Just getting started
OFL was created on the Isle of Man, and that's where we're starting.
We're still improving things, listening to feedback and building something we hope becomes genuinely useful to the people and businesses around us.
If you've got a business, we'd love you to join us. If you're simply curious about what's happening locally, have a look around.
